It is a matter of great pleasure that Government of Uttarakhand in association with Government of India is opening a new medical college in Haridwar district of Uttarakhand State. This will be a revolution in the history of medical education and health services in Uttarakhand. Good medical education is the backbone of comprehensive health care services in any state. This state really needs competent, skilled and dedicated doctors who should be good human beings as well. A gentle touch of doctor is like a magic to the ailing person. I am sure that Government Medical College, Haridwar will produce doctors with these traits worthy of emulation. Government medical college in Haridwar will provide the best tertiary health care and will play a pivotal role in training and inculcating a spirit of research. It will live up to the expectations of people of Uttrakhand and will provide state of art health services to the patients of Uttarakhand and nearby area of Uttar Pradesh state.
